漫喫満喫 / at a manga cafe
昨日は集中力が全くなく仕事にならなかったので、これはいかん！しっかり遊ばな！と思い、友と漫画喫茶へ。
数年ぶりの漫喫というか、マンガを読むのがすっごく久しぶりで、最初目がチカチカ。もう目がマンガ慣れしていないらしい。
ドラマにもなっていた人気少女漫画を「どんなもんかな〜」と読んだんですが、一巻読破するだけでヘトヘト。あんまりつまらなくてプチ放心状態。
もっと楽しいのを！と思い、昔兄が持っていて、爆笑しながら読んだ「こち亀」。前ほど笑えない。大人になったってこと？！しかも読みながら２０分ほど寝てしまった。（その間、友達は隣で私が寝てしまった事に気づかないくらい熱中していた・・・うらやましい）
せっかく架空の世界に熱中したいために来たのに、これじゃだめじゃない！
と、そこで手に取ったのが「働きマン」。
これはおもしろかった！特に私には興味深い編集部側のお話。一緒にお仕事させて頂いてる割に、編集さん側の仕事の内容、状況とかぜんぜん分かってないので、とても参考になりました。（週刊誌と絵本じゃきっと全然違うんだろうけど、おおまかな参考にはなったと思う。）
作者の安野さんは、ものすごい密な取材を重ねて書いたんだろうなー！ちょっと後半行き詰まったのか、ずれてしまった部分があったけど、これだけの内容をしっかり終わらせようとしたら、構想だけで５年かかってしまいそう。
気づいたら漫喫滞在６時間。その後焼き肉食べて深夜帰宅。
ひっさしぶりに仕事のこと考えなかった。
こういう日も大切だな〜。
Maybe it was something to do with the terrible heat, but I couldn't concentrate on work at all yesterday. Well, There's nothing I can do when I'm like this! There's no point staying at home doing nothing!
Yes, what I should do now is to get out of the house and chill out!
So I went to Manga cafe with my friend. Manga cafe is literally a cafe you can read mangas.
I hadn't been to a manga cafe for years. Actually I hadn't read manga for ages either. I read a few different mangas, but I couldn't really be absorbed in the stories like I used to. Does that mean I drew up too much that I don't believe in those fantastical stories? (But hold on! I'm writing imaginative stories too!)
Then I picked up this manga called "Hataraki man" meant "working man". THIS WAS great! the story reveals inside the editorial department of a weekly magazine. Though I myself work with editors, I had little idea how they actually worked. I'm sure working for a weekly magazine and children's books are not at all the same, but I could have a taste of their work.
We ended up staying at the cafe for 6 hours! Oh dear oh dear!
we went to a BBQ restaurant and I got home around midnight.
It was just nice not to think about my work for the whole day.
We need this kinda time occasionally, don't we?
